Our aluminium tilt and turn windows are designed to neatly combine the light, airy feel of picture windows with the versatility of a normal opening window, at an increased size. That’s the real beauty of our tilt windows. Each individual sash can be manufactured to be bigger than our casement windows, letting you bring stunning external views inside.
Engineered & Designs to perfection
The specific design of our aluminium tilt and turn windows allows them to look great, whilst also letting in the maximum amount of light into your property. Each large pane of glass can be tilted inwards for proper ventilation, or the full sash can be turned inwards, making them ideal for passing items through or use as a fire escape window

As well as large format windows, our Horizon tilt and turn windows can be applied to locations where they act as a door – acting as a French door or even a glazed screen with side and top lights.
The ability to tilt windows inward for ventilation, or to open them as far as you want, is one of the reasons why our inwards opening windows are proving an increasingly popular solution – particularly on upper floor rooms, such as bedrooms.
We can offer full-height windows on a tilt-only basis, or they can be fully opened inwards for customers fortunate enough to have a balcony or balustrade that allows the upper-level windows to be fully opened.
Integrated Glass Balustrade
Our inward-opening windows can be fully integrated with our revolutionary new design of frameless glass balustrades.
The thermally broken balustrade is designed to fit our tilt and turn windows for a seamless aesthetic, with the added benefit of being completely installed at the same time as your new windows, rather than waiting for a third party to install an external balustrade system.
This safety barrier has also been tested to BS6180 requirements and surpasses current building regulations, allowing upper-floor, full-height windows to be opened completely without any health and safety concerns.
This sleek in-house system is a popular choice for architects and for people who have specific design requirements.

Picture windows & shaped windows
Our Horizon windows offer all our customers great flexibility when it comes to window choice. The slender profiles of our inwards opening windows are perfect for both fixed picture windows and more bespoke shaped windows.
Relatively inexpensive, tilting picture windows can create the same striking visual impact as our popular sliding doors. Alternatively, we can create square, rectangle, and shaped windows, as well as sidelights and top lights, to sit alongside our other door and window systems.
Tilting fixed windows are also the perfect solution when space is at a premium or an area of your home will really benefit from increased natural light. Full-height picture windows are very popular alongside our bifold and sliding doors, and thanks to our bespoke manufacturing process, we can incorporate large, panoramic windows into your project.

We’ve created our aluminium tilt and turn windows with security at the forefront of our minds. We offer toughened glass, regardless of window size, and have an internal glaze that reaches PAS 24:2016 Security Performance – ensuring that our tilt and turn windows are a certified Secure by Design product.
Our expert surveyors and staff will also provide advice on safety planning, regulations, containment issues, and fire escapes, so you know you’ll be safe and secure in the event of an emergency.
Certass CQ Assured Scheme
Express Bifolds are members of the Certass Certified Quality assured scheme. Certass is a quality assurance scheme for trustworthy and reputable companies. Designed to give consumers additional confidence when working with companies, it means that you can be sure that your renovation, maintenance and improvement projects are up to standard.
The Certass CQ scheme isn’t a building regulations document but offers peace of mind for the customer that their works have been installed correctly and to the relevant industry standards. As part of the scheme our installations are independently audited by Certass every month and a certificate of conformity is sent to our customers upon the completion of our works. Included in the CQ scheme is a 10-year insurance backed guarantee and a 120 day deposit protection policy.

CERTASS COMPETENT PERSONS SCHEME
Our replacement installations in England a Wales are backed by the Certass Competent Person Scheme and after the completion of our woks our customers receive a personalised Certass branded building regulations certificate reaffirming that the works have been completed to the relevant industry standards. Also included is a 10-year insurance backed guarantee to sit alongside our own comprehensive guarantee:
• The certification includes works where the removal and reinstallation of windows and doors are completed and installed by Express.
• The scheme covers replacement installations but does not include extensions and newbuild projects.
• The scheme covers our replacement works across England and Wales.
