Orchard House, Leeds

This complex extension in North Leeds was nominated for the West Yorkshire LABC awards. Expertly designed by Harrogate Architectural the extension showcases a diverse range of our products which have been combined superbly with several architectural features. The rear elevation benefits from external cedar cladding, the bold fascias across the raised patio area, and the curved iron hand rail which is a total contrast to the understated glass balustrade.

Internally light is gained at every opportunity, whether it is through the three metre high sliding doors, the top light above them or the numerous picture windows which are positioned adjacent to the flat roof. A picture window also dominates a third of the rear elevation with its minimalist sightlines looking superb whether viewed internally or externally. These architectural features are complimented further by a plethora of Express products including two of our Sky Line roof lanterns, and an XP View bi-folding door.

The striking glass facade created in this installation inspired one of the displays in our flag ship showroom The Home Space from Express. We created a glass box with our slimmest sliding doors the slide panoramic encased by cedar cladding just like with this installation.
