Background

A traditional property in Ascot, the owners wanted to transform their ground floor with a modern and distinctive single-storey extension. In order to make the most of their views, they wanted as much glass as possible, and a seamless transition to their new raised patio area.

Delivery

To make sure that the picturesque landscape took the centre stage, Express installed both sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. A huge sliding door that looks incredible when it is closed, the XP Glide has two panels that slide away from the middle to give an opening of more than 4m. The windows look very similar to the sliding doors but don’t open, giving the home panoramic views at a cost-effective price. They’re blended together with insulated pressings around the corners to make sure that there are no drafts or cold spots and so it looks like one beautifully unified glass structure.

The White House also had French doors, sidelights and a shaped gable above, which adds a contemporary element to traditional bedrooms. They allow lots of natural light and uninterrupted views, as well as allowing access to their new Juliet balcony.
